About the Podcast

The Human Piece Story Podcast exists as an interactive platform for volunteers (and aspiring volunteers) to: meet fellow volunteers through our live monthly volunteer virtual meets; connect or reconnect with new and old friends via our chat groups; establish long-lasting friendships; share or swap volunteer stories and listen to volunteer stories on our podcast. No matter which organization you volunteered with- Peace Corps, Habitat, Red Cross; AmeriCorps or your local food market—you’re welcome here. We invite you to join us!

Meet the Host

Christinah Makhetho is a former international volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. She served with the organization in Georgia and the Washington, DC area. During her tenure, Christinah served alongside dedicated Habitat and AmeriCorps volunteers from different parts of the U.S. and around the world. Her time spent as a volunteer inspired her to launch the Human Piece Story podcast. A true believer in the power of storytelling–Christinah hopes to inspire other volunteers to share their stories–with the hope that many more will be moved to serve.
